Button bit is an ideal rock drilling tool for modern high-power and high-efficiency hydraulic rock drills. Hot inserting is a production method. The material used for hot inserting button bit skirt body must be tough and wear-resistant, strong in fixing buttons, and have good machinability. The key process for the production of button bit is the thermal inserting method, which is also the assembly process of drill bit. The assembly process parameters, assembly technology level, and assembly quality play a vital role in the quality and service life of drill bits.
1. The assembly process parameters of hot inserting button refer to the heating temperature and the fit interference between the carbide and the carbide holes. Heating temperature should be controlled within a certain tempering temperature range of the material. The interference fit between the carbide and carbide hole is determined by calculating and repeatedly testing the mechanical properties of the material to achieve the optimal force of fixed button. The requirements of interference fit are strict, and the amount of interference is too large or too small will make the solid button force decrease.
2. The technical level of assembly affects the quality of assembly. Because of the high temperature of skirt body when inserting buttons, multiple buttons should be inserted into the corresponding holes of skirt body accurately within a certain period at a faster speed. Cogs, or manual operation of cogs, should be carried out by skilled and high-tech workers to ensure the quality of cogs.
3. Before hot embedding, corresponding preparations should be done, and skirt body and carbides must be strictly and carefully inspected and classified according to the process requirements. The carbides and gear holes must not have any rust, oil, or dirt, and should be kept clean and bright.
Heat inserting button fixing is not only simple to operate, but also the force on the carbides and drill bit shell is very small during the button fixing process, and basically will not be damaged, so it has better stability.
