The rock drill bit is a rock drilling tool that is connected to a drill rod and driven by a rock drill to break the rock. When drilling, it needs to be connected to the drill rod. Therefore, it is necessary to disassemble the rock drill bit. What are the methods for disassemble rock drill bits?
Hand hammering is always adopted in all the mining departments in China to disassemble drill bits. This method is an important reason for aggravating accidents such as the breakage of the drill bit skirt body and the damage of the carbide button, which is a great threat to the service life of drill bit and drill rod. While in foreign countries, most of the drill bit is disassembly by special tools. When using it, put the drill rod flat on the ground, step on the drill rod with your feet, and hit the anvil of the drill unloader with a hand hammer to loosen the rock drill bit. This method is simple, but the drill unloader is easy to jump, it is difficult for workers to bend over to operate, and the effect of the unloading efficiency is low. The sliding hammers and sleeve-type unloaders and Japan can use the impact force to directly impact the end of the skirt body of the drill bit, but the operation is laborious, and the efficiency of the unloader is still low.
In addition to manual unloaders, to reduce manual labor and improve the efficiency of unloading, Irish’s Boart and Sweden’s Secoroc also produce various motorized unloaders. According to the report of the former Soviet Union’s “Mining Journal” in 1973, the CBK-1 pneumatic unloader made in the Soviet Union only needs 2~4s to unload each drill bit. It only takes 4~6s to take out the broken cone from the skirt body of the drill bit, but its quality is relatively large. The PLA6K pneumatic unloader of the Swiss SIG company has smaller specifications. In short, although there are many kinds of foreign unloaders, whether they are manual or motorized, they have not been able to achieve perfection.
After many years of drilling practice, the Chinese drill tool research department urgently felt the importance of “eliminating hand hammer unloading”. In 1978, the DY-1 slide hammer unloader was designed and trial-produced based on the hand-throwing slide hammer unloader. After years of trial and continuous improvement, it is proved that the use effect is good. This type of unloader has the characteristics of simple structure, reliable operation, easy processing, convenient operation, strong durability, etc. It better solves the common problems of foreign manual unloaders, such as complex structure, cumbersome assembly and disassembly, lack of impact force, easy to jump, bending operation, low efficiency of unloader, and high labor intensity.
Of course, different types of rock drill bits have different considerations in disassembly. For example, threaded cross bits allow for “reverse unloading”. Threaded button bits can generally complete a drilling cycle without unloading the drill bit. To prevent abnormal damage to the button, the special wrench should be used, and hammer blows to the drill bit shell should be avoided as far as possible when dismantling.
